Emily Fletcher grew up in Auburn and attended Edward Little High School. She was an active member of the local community and a standout runner in cross-country and track. In December 2004, at age 21, Emily’s life was tragically taken in a car accident while driving home from the University of Vermont for the holidays.

In her memory and spirit, Emily’s Run was established to both celebrate her life and raise funds for the Fletcher Foundation and its causes. From it’s humble beginnings in 2005, the race has grown in participation nearly every year and is now part of The Greater L-A Triple Crown 5K series, which strives to promote healthy activities and a better sense of community.

The race takes place every July, starting and ending at Edward Little High School.
